Motivation

- “RPM” (by Toni Robbins) is
- our day should look like:
  - Results-oriented,
  - purpose-driven,
  - built around a “massive action plan.”
- You have to consistently ask yourself what you want, what your purpose is, and what you need to do to achieve it.

Tasks for the day

- Chalkup / Checklist plugin / ChalkUp Checklist Departure Control
- - implement “Templates” screen (using dummy data from memory)
  - + define what's next to do
    - load data from local SQLite database (use Room)
  - - do the first step (loading data from SQLite DB)
    - - start reading docs
      - https://developer.android.com/training/data-storage/room
    - - create database
      - - create questionnaire templates table

        see existing Avril solution

        DBOpenHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper

        onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db)

        maybe interesting:

        https://developer.android.com/topic/libraries/app-startup
- - implement using memory for loading / saving questionnaires and questionnaire templates
  - + check Avril's implementation
    - SQLite based
    - Sync
      - WorkOrderSyncAdapter.onPerformSync()

        syncQuestionnaires

        syncWorkOrders
  - + check “modern” solution
    - + find out the existing options (can be helpful: https://developer.android.com/topic/architecture/data-layer)
      - DataStore

        key-value pairs

typed data (but in “small” volumes)

        ⇒ not really good
      - Scoped Storage

file based storage with restricted access

⇒ not good, because file based
      - Jetpack based options?

DataStore (see above) ⇒ not good

        Room

        abstraction layer over SQLite

⇒ the best solution in my opinion
